Jax Taylor, the star of The Valley, is expected to leave the in-patient treatment center where he has been staying since late July, PEOPLE has confirmed.

A representative for Taylor announced on Monday, August 19, that he has spent 30 days in treatment and will return home later this week. TMZ was the first to report this news.

Taylor entered the mental health facility on July 30. Upon his return home, he will resume filming for The Valley, which started its second season earlier this summer, according to TMZ. The outlet also noted that Taylor plans to discuss his treatment experience when he feels ready, promising an emotional new season of the show.

A representative for Bravo has not yet responded to requests for additional details about Taylor’s return to filming.

When Taylor first entered treatment, his representative stated, “Jax has always been open about his mental health struggles, particularly in recent months on his podcast. He decided to seek in-patient treatment. This is a sensitive time for him and his family. They request privacy until he is ready to discuss this further.” TMZ reported this news on July 30.

Taylor’s treatment coincides with his separation from Cartwright. The couple announced their separation in February after four years of marriage.

Cartwright shared the news on their joint podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, explaining that she “decided to move into another home for the sake of [her] mental health.”

Taylor and Cartwright met in 2015, and their relationship has been featured on Vanderpump Rules, Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky, and The Valley. They married on June 29, 2019, and welcomed their son, Cruz, on April 12, 2021.

The announcement of their split came just before the premiere of The Valley in February. Cartwright told PEOPLE that she felt “a little bit of relief” after the separation, stating she “needed this space.” Taylor agreed, saying that the separation was “best for [their] family” after facing ongoing challenges.
